The New Lebanon Book Group meets the first Sunday of each month at 11 a.m. at the New Lebanon Library unless otherwise noted. Please bring a mask - we socially distance. Everyone is welcome - do drop in! Curious readers, visitors, and drop-ins are always welcome! We follow a no fragrance policy for the safety of some of our members. The book to be discussed this month is "The Sound of a Wild Snail Eating" by Elisabeth Tova Bailey. Copies of the book are available by request at local libraries.
Make your own hedgehog yarn pom pom to use as a zipper pull on your backpack, or hang wherever you'd like! All materials included. Kits will be available beginning at 3:00 PM in front of the library (weather permitting) or inside the front door.

Join us for the next in a series of Virtual Presentations by the New York Historical Society, brought to you in partnership with the Columbia County Libraries Association. These hour-long lectures are delivered live by a Museum docent or curator, accompanied by slides showing artifacts from our collection and recent exhibitions. A short Q&A period will follow each presentation. Please contact the library to register and receive login instructions.

Due to increased public health concerns, this craft meetup will be held virtually on Zoom. The craft will be a Book Page Dahlia Wreath (please example see below). Kits will be available for pickup beginning Tuesday (1/18) at 3:00 PM. The login details will be inside the bag. All materials are included, but scissors and a stapler will be needed at home.

Talk Read Sing Columbia’s Traveling Early Literacy Program is visiting the library! Children will enjoy a reading of “The Snowy Day” by Ezra Jack Keats. Then, they’ll have a chance to make their own fake snow, and learn how real snow is made! Registration is appreciated - please call us at 518-794-8844 to reserve a spot!
