A representative from the Healthcare Consortium visits the library to meet with residents and assist them with signing up for affordable health coverage, including Medicaid and Child Health Plus, through the New York State of Health: the Official Health Plan Marketplace. The mission of the Healthcare Consortium is improving access to healthcare and supporting the health and well-being of people in our rural community.

Educators from Greater Hudson Promise visit the library with a story and STEAM activity ages 3 years and up. This month, children will hear the story "A Bad Case of the Stripes" by David Shannon, then explore fizzy rainbow sensory bins!

Experienced Columbia County Office for the Aging staff with expertise in the often complex world of health insurance will
discuss what you need to know about Medicare. This session will address topics such as the difference between Part A and Part B, the application process, Medicare Advantage plans, and more. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.
