February 4, 2020 –
People here gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. The objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'. (A Death Cafe is a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief support or counseling session.) It is open to members of the public.
(This event is hosted by members of the Abode.)
Please note: We are changing the format of this program to be a quarterly event.
We offer story times and other activities for children, teens, and adults, including a book discussion group. Please check our calendar for more information on our programs. Also, please note that if no one is in attendance of a program within 30 minutes of the starting time, then the program is considered cancelled.
