New York Historical Society Virtual Presentation

Wednesday, February 16th at 6:00 PM

Learn about Black Americans’ struggle for equality under the law from 1865 through World War I, both Southern and Northern roles in this dark chapter of our history, as well as Black New Yorkers’ organizing and community-building in the face of discrimination.

This series of Virtual Presentations by the New York Historical Society is brought to you in partnership with the Columbia County Libraries Association. Lectures are delivered live by a Museum docent or curator, accompanied by slides showing artifacts from their collection and recent exhibitions. A short Q&A period will follow each presentation.

Please contact the library to register and receive login instructions.

The library is open, and no appointment is needed to visit!

Masks must still be worn by all patrons (ages 2 years and up) inside the Library. The number of people in the building may be limited to ensure social distancing. Curbside service is available by request. We hope to see you drop in soon!
