Patrons may borrow passes for admission to many local museums, historical sites and other places of interest. This program is made possible by a grant from the Ellsworth Kelly Foundation to the Columbia County Libraries Association. Please click here to access the online reservation system.

Earth Day: Community Solar Generated Electricity

Join us on Earth Day, April 22nd at 7:00 PM: The New Lebanon Climate Smart Communities Task Force will show how New Lebanon residents can save with community solar generated energy.  After the presentation, Cathy Wilkerson will share surprising facts about native plants and the important role they play in our ecosystem. Virtual Family Cooking Class Begins March 29th & 30th

Polish your kitchen skills and try recipes from around the world with free Fresh Food Meal Kits in our new Virtual Family Cooking Class! This program is provided by the Sylvia Center, with support from the Rolling Grocer and the Hawthorne Valley Farm Store. Classes are for children 18 and under
with at least one parent or guardian.

LIBRARY OPEN FOR BROWSING & COMPUTER APPOINTMENTS

The Library is open for in-person appointments! Fifteen minute appointments for browsing and 30 minute appointments for computer use are available during regular Library hours. You must call the library at 518-794-8844 to set up an appointment, and wear a mask at all times while in the Library. Curbside Services will continue to be available as well. 

Caring For Our Piece of the Earth Discussion Group Sign-ups

In this time of extreme climate change, we cannot possibly hope to save everything at once, but our own backyard is a great place to start! Starting in February, we will be holding a 6-session discussion group to address issues and exchange ideas on creating an earth-friendly backyard.
