READSquared Summer Reading Log

For a regular summer, the library typically provides reading logs for readers to mark down what they have read for prizes. We are still doing that, but this time the logs will be digital on READSquared. Log your minutes read at:

As you read, you will be entered for our awesome raffle prizes! Happy reading to you!

We thank you for all your patience these past 2 months as we have worked through the pandemic. Along with other Columbia County Libraries, we will begin curbside library services, on June 17th. We will take new item requests and reopen the dropbox daily for returns (library materials only – we are not accepting donated items at this time). A Message From the Library Board of Trustees

We are all trying to make sense of what is happening in our country and in our everyday lives. We live in interesting times: the Corona virus, masks, quarantining, Black Lives Matter demonstrations, politics and the forthcoming national election.  All these things have been coming at us fast.

Libraries provide spaces, both real and electronic, where we can educate ourselves on the issues, learn about people of different cultures, sexual orientation or life experience, seek inspiration and solace and online connect with government and news agencies. We have a range of possibilities on offer here, and the staff can direct you to help find what you’re looking for or suggest new paths to explore. We are open to suggestions to form new discussion groups, online or soon, we hope, in person, to exchange views on books and topical issues. Once again, the Library commits itself to providing our diverse community with the information resources we need.

We’re making it easier for you to give with the option to donate online. You can now make a difference all year-long when you make a monthly gift to the New Lebanon Library! A monthly donation of $5 helps us purchase craft supplies for our art programs. Every dollar makes a difference and we make sure it goes back into the community that you love!

We all love to shop online. Now, when you shop online, you can also support your favorite non-profits! Use the link and select “New Lebanon Library”. Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to the Library. Thank you for all that you do and we aim to continue serving you to the best of our abilities.
