Bringing Nature Home Talk and Book Group Launch: Saturday, January 24th at 1:30 p.m. Meet other plant and garden enthusiasts as we learn about Douglas Tallamy’s inspiring work through reading "Bringing Nature Home: How You Can Sustain Wildlife with Native Plants." In this opening session, Anna Duhon of the Hawthorne Valley Farmscape Ecology Program, will speak of some of the ongoing native plant projects in our area that the Farmscape Ecology Program is involved with and introduce relevant resources, including from the recent book they co-authored, From the Hudson to the Taconics: An Ecological and Cultural Field Guide to the Habitats of Columbia County, New York. Over the next year, the group will meet three more times to discuss the book. Copies of the book will be available, and no prior knowledge is needed. Light refreshments will be served.
